Theskian Intrigue and Strife
Sebellis was raised like all githyanki in a cadre. From an early age he showed great prowess with a sword and arcane abilities and was very early in his training. His cadre went out on a raid for the lich queen, and came upon a group of the hated Githzerai. He was not supposed to be there as he had snuck out to follow them. A fierce battle ensued and his cadre was wiped out. Traveling amongst this group was an emissary from the coronal guard of Myth Drannor named Elifeet Sebellis was scared and the last member alive as he had been hiding behind the main force, having no experience fighting. Elifeet took pity on the boy and threw his aegis of shielding on him blocking the death blow from the leader of the Githzerai. The Githzerai were upset and demanding his death as they argued leaving him alive would only allow him to grow up to kill more of their kind. Sebellis was only spared when Elifeet swore to raise him as his son, take him back to Myth Drannor, and that he would never join back with the Githyanki. Upon returning to Myth Drannor, he was seen as an outcast. Elifeet knew he would not be able to have a normal life in a large city and moved to the nearby Dalelands away from all others. There he taught Sebellis all he knows of the ways of the swordmage and to revere Correlon. Sebellis has a dream of one day joining the coronal guard like his “father.” As one of the highest ranking captains of the guard, he petitioned the to have Sebellis trained and join the forces. However, the ruling powers were very skeptical of a Githyanki and felt they couldn’t trust him. A deal was forged that Sebellis would go out into the world to prove himself worthy of the position. Soon after leaving his home in the Dalelands he ran into Rexis.
